Instruments

We provide classes for children and adults in the following instruments:

  • Fiddle
  • Flute
  • Tin Whistle
  • Uilleann Pipes
  • Button Accordeon
  • Concertina
  • Harp
  • Banjo & Mandolin
  • Traditional Guitar Accompaniment
  • Bodhrán

Time and place

Classes for children and adults take place on Saturday mornings from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Marino College, Marino Mart, Dublin 3 (opposite Fairview Park).

We also run tin whistle classes for beginners (children only) on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Carlton Hall, Shelmartin Road, Marino, Dublin 3. This is a ten-week course. The next one starts on Wednesday September 22nd 2010.

Enrolment

Enrolment for the Autumn 2010 term will take place on Saturday September 4th 2010 in Marino College between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM

Fees

The Cost is €10 per lesson (payable by term in advance).

Student development

Typically students progress to our award-winning groups and ceili bands where they get the chance to play in festivals and compete in national competitions.

The student's teacher will advise whether they are ready join the groups. Typically a child of 8 to 10 years with a year or two of playing would be ready to join.
