Letter from Ard Runai of CCE to chairman of Cluain Tarbh 31st Jan 2008
This is a refusal to permit a delegation from Cluain Tarbh to the Ard Comhairle (general council). The branch has been accused of stonewalling at various discussions on the web. But who's stonewalling now?
Letter from Cluain Tarbh Chairman to CCE Ard Runai 1st February 2008
This is a request to the Ard Runai (general secretary) to pass our correspondence to the Ard Comhairle (general council) so that they might be in a position to consider all sides of the story when making critical judgements. But this correspondence shows that, far from stonewalling, the branch were desperate to discuss the issues and to arrive at some agreed settlement.
Letter from Ard Runai of CCE to Cluain Tarbh Chairman Feb 6th 2008.
This letter informs the branch that it has been suspended by the Ard Comhairle (despite the fact that there is no provision in the Bunreacht to suspend a branch). It also informs the branch of the intention to dissolve it if the VAT refund is not transferred to the central CCE account.
Plea to delegates to the Dublin Co Board for due process re. the suspension of the branch.
It is our contention that the original suspension of the branch was illegal under the terms of the Bunreacht (constitution). We were suspended by the "Ard Comhairle in consultation with the Dublin County Board". There is no provision in the bunreacht for the Ard Comhairle to suspend a branch. There was no due process and no right of appeal. Even though the County Board is the only body that can suspend a branch, when asked about the basis of the suspension the County Board secretary replied that it was a matter between the branch and the Ard Comhairle.
