Classes Resume January 16th 2010
Please note that classes in Marino College resume Saturday January 16th. Band Practice in St Gabriels resumes also.

Instrument loan scheme
There are two sets of Uilleann pipes, two mandolins and two half-size fiddles available for loan. Please contact the desk in Marino College on Saturday morning for more information.
Review vindicates Clontarf
Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh have issued a statement on the funding review by the Department of Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs of the development programme of Comhaltas. The statement can be found here.
Congratuations To Aoife Ní Aragáin
Congratulations to Aoife Ní Argáin who won the prize of a Weekend Gig at the 2010 Nyah Traditional Music Festival in Cavan in the solo competition at the Meitheal Residential Summer School in Limerick in July. See you next year in Cavan, Aoife!

AGM 30th January 2010
Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh AGM will be held on Saturday 30th January 2010 at 6pm in St. Gabriel's Parish Hall, Dollymount.
All adult members of CCT are asked to attend.
Cluain Tarbh @ Temple Bar Trad
Cluain Tarbh will be participating in Siamsa Cois Life during the Temple Bar Trad Festival on January 30th 2010. The event takes place in Fownes' St from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

The first in the Clantraí series for 2010 features the Ó'hArgáin Family.

Chasing the wren - St Stephen's Day Dec 26th
In time honoured tradition club members will be meeting at Grainger's Pub near the Fairview end of the Malahide Road at 1pm. We will visit pubs and clubs about the area and entertain the revellers. Fancy dress obligatory - the more outrageous the better! There will be a prize for the best costume.

Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh play at the Christmas Fair at the Sean O'Casey Theatre in East Wall during the afternoon of Sunday December 13th. The theatre is located in St Mary's Rd in East Wall. All welcome!
End of term Christmas Party Dec 12th
Our Under 12s, under 15s and under 18 bands will perform. There is also the possibility that a "special visitor" might arrive!
Families of children attending our Saturday morning classes in Marino are very welcome to come along and catch a glimpse of what all those whistle lessons can lead to.

Cluain Tarbh @ The Cobblestone Dec 11th
The first of a series of showcase evenings presenting the wealth of music, song and dance talent associated with our club takes place
in the Cobblestone pub in Smithfield on December 11th 2009.
The inaugural evening will feature fiddle legends Kevin and Seamus Glackin, along with
some of Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh's many excellent performers.
All are welcome to enjoy the performances and join in the informal session afterwards! Entry €5 on the door. Starts 8:30PM. Over 18s only (obviously!)
Pre-Christmas Bash November 28th
All members - adults and children - are invited to our Christmas Party. It takes place on Saturday 28th November in Malahide Tennis Club.
Format is simple - music, song, dance and craic. Musicians of all ages and standards are asked to bring along their instruments.
Admission free but bring along food of some sort - sandwiches, cakes, crisps, ...
We start at 7:30PM so there will be NO band practice that night!
Graduation Night September 25th
Our Graduation Night, when we honour the players leaving the Under 18 band, takes place on Friday, September 25th at 8pm in Scoil Ui Chonaill clubhouse. All adults and all in the present Under 18 band are invited for an evening of ceol, caint agus craic.
Sean Nós Dancing Course
We are running a five week long Sean Nós Dancing Course. Open to both adults and children. Registration will take place at St Gabriel's Parish Hall, Dollymount, Saturday evening 12th Sept. The course will start Saturday 19th Sept and will run in St Gabriel's from 4.45 to 5.45pm. The cost for the five weeks is €25.
Cluain Tarbh at Heritage Week
Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh play at the Casino in Marino as part of the Heritage Week celebrations. Our musicians play from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on both Saturday 29th August and Sunday 30th August. We'd be delighted if you could join us! More details here.
Cluain Tarbh support Liam Ó'Maonlaí
The legendary Liam Ó Maonlaí will be performing as part of the Northside Music Festival organised by Dublin City Council's Arts Office. Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh have been invited to provide support.
