Kieran Wade album launch April 27th 2012
Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh member, singer/songwriter Kieran Wade will be launching his new CD “Out on the Back Roads”
at the Cobblestone in Smithfield on Friday, April 27th, starting at 9pm. Admission is free.
Accompanying him on the night will be Conor Lyons and Kevin Wade.
Also appearing at the launch will be well-known flute player Catherine McEvoy and also the group Cibé,
runners-up in last year’s Siansa Gael Linn final.
Session at the North Star Hotel 22nd April 2012
The North Star Hotel was the venue for traditional musicians for many years.
Every Sunday night a group of Clontarf musicians met for music and craic. As part of the 2012 Five Lamps Arts Festival
the magic happens again for one afternoon only.
The session is back on Sunday 22nd April at 4pm and will continue for a couple of hours.
The festival will welcome participants from Reels on Wheels, Ceoltoiri Cluain Tarbh and many other groups. All welcome.
Help Sergio Fundraising Campaign
Baby Sergio O’Connor, a twin was born 5 March 2011 with a number of complications and among the severest is a rare condition which prevents him from eating, drinking or swallowing.
Sergio's father Donal is a member of the O’Connor family (Mick, Ann, Darach, Aoife, Donal & Liam) have had a long involvement with Cluain Tarbh
both as members and teachers.
The family need support to help fund Sergio and his family when they go to Boston where surgeons can perform a life changing operation.
